Dog That Saves Baby Deer From Drowning Becomes Viral Hero

19 July _ A 6-year-old English Labrador became a social media hero this week after a video showing Storm pulling a baby deer out from the Port Jefferson Harbor, according to The New York Times.

The deer is recovering at the local Save the Animals Rescue Foundation in Middle Island, NewYork

During the video, a man is holding the camera and calling out to Storm as he is swimming toward a brown lump in the water that turns out to be the fawn until he takes it in his mouth and brings it back on the beach.

The video has been seen by more than 4.5 million people on Facebook after Mark Freeley added it on his page.

Freeley said that Storm was trying to help the deer when it was nudging the fawn’s abdomen area, before gently pawing at it when the video ended.
