Commerce Minister pledges to focus on addressing trade deficit

Itahari, July 31: Minister for Commerce Meen Kumar Bishwakarma has pledged to take measures to improve the nation’s economic situation.
Addressing a programme organised in his honour at Tarahara of Sunsari Sub Metropolitan City-2 today, the Minister said Nepal was incurring loss in the area of trade and commerce and the government would give its focus on addressing such deficit.
Market promotion at home and abroad for local products like ginger, Rudraksha, cardamom, Akabare (round) chilly, tea, coffee and dairy products would also be the special focus of the government, he added.
Stating that the country would not see prosperity until taxpayers paid the tax happily, he said the policy of honouring taxpayers was forthcoming.
